MH hoops split games at Greenbrier



It was a split for the Mountain Home High School basketball teams Friday night as they played district games at Greenbrier. Brad Haworth has the details.

The Lady Bombers used a big run in the first half to cruise to a 41-21 victory. Greenbrier hit a three pointer to start the scoring but Mountain Home would respond with a 25-2 run and were never challenged. By halftime Mountain Home led 25-8 thanks to forcing 16 first half turnovers.

Hannah Pfiefer led the Mountain Home scoring with 13 points while Vinessa Daniel added 11 points. The Lady Bombers improve to 11-8 overall and 4-1 in the 6A/5A-2 Distric.



In the boy’s game, Mountain Home started fast but couldn’t hold their lead as Greenbrier won 47-43. It was the Bombers who had the hot hand early, racing out to an early 9-0 led. But the Panthers responded with a 22-3 run and led by seven at halftme. Early in the fourth quarter MOuntain Home was able to tie the game at 32 but Greenbrier pulled away with an 11-4 run for the win.

Mitchell Mcdonald paced the Bombers with 12 points as the fall to 6-12 and 2-3.

Greenbrier got 20 points from Payden Webb as they improve to 8-11 and 4-1.
