MH tennis athletes bounced from Overall State Tournament

The season came to an end for the Mountain Home High School girls' tennis team as a few of its athletes competed in the Overall State Tournament Wednesday at Burns Park in North Little Rock.

Emily Heide began the day representing the Lady Bombers in the singles bracket by picking up a straight set victory. She defeated Anna Baltz of Pocahontas 6-1 and 6-0. Heide advanced to the quarterfinals where she was eventually defeated by Bentonville's Brooke Killingworth in straight sets 6-1 and 6-1.

Maddy Lewis and Cara Conner ended the day with a split as they represented Mountain Home in the doubles bracket. The duo's first match was a straight set win as they topped Allison Rogers Bailey Norwood of Parkers Chapel 6-0 and 6-2. Lewis and Conner later went up against Taylor Damonte and Avery Hargrove of Bentonville in the quarterfinals and lost in straight sets 6-0 and 6-2.
