Man charged in Eldon bank robbery arrested in Alabama

A man charged with robbing a bank in Eldon in July has been arrested in Alabama.

The Jefferson City News-Tribune reports that 52-year-old Russell Cooper was arrested Wednesday on a criminal warrant. Cooper was charged in September with one count of second-degree robbery for the July 18 robbery of Citizens Bank.

Miller County prosecuting attorney Benjamin Winfrey says Cooper is in custody in Alabama in lieu of $75,000 bond. Winfrey says Cooper has pending unrelated charges in Alabama.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Cooper has an attorney.
