A Mountain Home man has been arrested on felony drug charges following a traffic stop by Mountain Home Police Officer Rodney Wiggins early Tuesday morning. A spokesman for the Mountain Home PD says 54 year old Howard Andrew Johnson is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of an instrument of crime. He is being held in the Baxter County Jail on $4,195 bond.
According to the police, when the vehicle was stopped, it was discovered that Johnson, a passenger in the vehicle, had an outstanding warrant from the Baxter County Sheriff's Department. During the booking process, Johnson was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Howard Andrew Johnson is scheduled to appear in circuit court Thursday.
