Neil Young Among Music Stars to Appear in Upcoming Episodes of AXS TV's “The Big

Courtesy of AXS TVNeil Young will be featured in a rare in-depth television interview on the first of nine new episodes of AXS TV’s program The Big Interview that will air in the coming months. The show, hosted by veteran newsman Dan Rather, will premiere on Tuesday, September 13, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

The folk-rock legend will discuss a wide variety of topics with Rather, including his new environmental-themed live album Earth; his disdain for large corporations, and the damage he feels they’re doing to the democratic process; his new high-resolution digital music player, Pono; being stricken with polio as a child; and much more. Neil also shares his thoughts about Prince‘s death, his work with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and his current collaboration with Promise of the Real, a band that features Willie Nelson‘s sons Lukas and Micah.

A variety of other music stars also will be featured on upcoming episodes of The Big Interview, including Meat Loaf on September 20, country singer Martina McBride on September 27; Olivia Newton-John on October 4 and Canadian crooner Michael Bublé on October 11.

Prior to the premiere of Young’s installment of The Big Interview, AXS TV will host a marathon featuring memorable previous episodes of the show on Saturday, September 10. The programming block will include shows focusing on Frankie Valli at 8 a.m. ET, Crosby, Stills & Nash at 10 a.m., KISSGene Simmons at 11 a.m., Sammy Hagar at 2 p.m., Gregg Allman at 3 p.m., John Fogerty at 4 p.m., Dolly Parton at 5 p.m., Heart‘s Ann and Nancy Wilson at 6 p.m. and Willie Nelson at 7 p.m. Preview segments of Young’s episode also will be shown during the marathon.
