New Grammy Auction Features Items Signed by Roger Daltrey, Paul Simon, David Crosby & More

ABC Radio; Samir Hussein/Getty ImagesA new Grammy-sponsored charity auction has been launched in celebration of the holiday season that’s offering a variety of autographed collectibles and VIP experiences.

Among the many items up for bid are a Gibson electric guitar signed by The Who‘s Roger Daltrey and Joan Jett, and CDs and vinyl discs autographed by such stars as Paul Simon, David Crosby, Hall & Oates, Lionel Richie, Jackson Browne, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler and Duran Duran.

Among the VIP packages up for bid are tickets to the star-studded 2017 MusiCares Person of the Year gala honoring Tom Petty that includes rehearsal performances and hotel accommodations for two; a lunch with famed producer and Peter & Gordon singer Peter Asher; a songwriting session via Skype with award-winning pop composer Paul Williams; and a drum lesson with Jody Stephens, a founding member of the influential 1970s band Big Star.

The auction also features various items signed by Smokey Robinson, Chicago, Barbra Streisand and Daltrey and his Who band mate Pete Townshend. The Grammy Charity Giving Tuesday sale runs until December 9. Proceeds raised will benefit the MusiCares organization and the Grammy Foundation.
