Our Profile of the Day... Hospice of the Ozarks

 

Tune in tomorrow to 97.9 for the latest edition of For Your Health, featuring the heartwarming and inspiring story of Nurse Karen McKaig, a Case Manager and Clinical Documentation Specialist at BRMC.  Karen be talking about how she is dealing with the recent loss of her Mother.

Hospice Outreach Coordinator Lori Day Howe and Host Heather Loftis will join her for a discussion of the challenges of advocating and caring for an ill and aging parent, and the role Hospice can play for both a patient and a family member.

 

>Hospice of the Ozarks staff members are available to speak to civic groups, churches, businesses, medical professionals or other organizations about  wide variety of topics, explaining the many services offered by Hospice!

>Topics include things like care giving/stress management for family members;

-dealing with the loss of a co-worker; hospice care;

-healing from grief;

-advanced directives;

-how to volunteer with Hospice, and the training provided; --and many, many others!

Established in 1979, the Mtn. Home Hospice of the Ozarks facility serves Baxter and Marion counties, and is approved by Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance.  Services are provided regardless of ability to pay, at the only not-for-profit Hospice in the area.
