Baxter County Library is offering a therapy dog program, called Paws for Reading, Friday from 4 to 5. This is a program that pairs independent readers in grades ‘K’ through 3, with certified therapy dogs to give the child an opportunity to read a book aloud to a dog.

Each session is 15-minutes. The program aims to help build confidence in his or her reading ability and communication skills.

All children’s programs are provided at no charge. Please register for a 15-minute session by calling the Children’s Library at 870-580-0910.
