Report: Rockets to acquire Lou Williams from Lakers

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — The Houston Rockets have reached an agreement to acquire shooting guard Lou Williams from the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell ESPN.

In exchange, the Rockets will send small forward Corey Brewer and an unprotected first-round pick to Los Angeles.

The trade comes ahead of this year’s NBA trade deadline, set for Thursday at 3 p.m. ET. It also comes a day after Hall of Famer Magic Johnson became the Lakers’ president of basketball operations following the firing of general manager Mitch Kupchak and executive vice president of basketball operations Jim Buss.
