Credit: Erik KabikCarlos Santana has announced that he’ll be extending his band’s long-running Las Vegas residency at the House of Blues all the way into the fall of 2017.
After previously scheduling January and February performances of the show, dubbed An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live, the guitar legend now has lined up a total of 24 new dates in May, September and November.
Tickets for the newly-added concerts go on sale to the general public this Friday, January 13, at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets are available at HouseofBlues.com/LasVegas/Santana, MandalayBay.com, Ticketmaster.com and by calling 800-745-3000. Part of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to two charities geared toward aiding young people: The Milagro Foundation, which Carlos co-founded, and the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of Santana’s residency at the House of Blues Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino: it started in May 2012.
In other news, Santana recently scheduled a pair of concerts at the Choctaw Grand Theater in Durant, Oklahoma, on July 7 and 8. Pre-sale tickets for those shows will be available starting Thursday, January 12, at 10 a.m. CT. Santana also has a previously-announced run of April dates in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
