Saturday schedule includes MH girls finishing Bulldog Classic

Basketball and wrestling make up the local Saturday schedule.



The Mountain Home High School girls’ basketball team will look to come away with a win in the Centennial Bank Bulldog Classic. The Lady Bombers’ last opponent at Fayetteville will be Springfield Hillcrest.

Mountain Home comes into the game with a record of 3-5. The Lady Bombers fell to Little Rock Central on Friday.

Tip-off is scheduled for 2:30. Saturday’s game can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.



Elsewhere, Gainesville will wrap up play in the Mansfield Boys’ Tournament. The Bulldogs will be paired with Houston at 4:30.

Two local girls’ teams will be in Harrison to compete in the North Arkansas College Border Wars. Gainesville meets Kingston at 3:30, and Valley Springs faces Ozark, Missouri, at 6:30.

The Mark Martin Automotive/Lyon College High School Tournament comes to an end at the Becknell Gymnasium in Batesville. The consolation finals will be first as Calico Rock’s girls take on Izard County at 3:30, and the Izard County boys play Highland at five p.m. Mountain View’s girls will play for the championship at 6:30 against Pocahontas.

The Mountain Home freshmen boys will take part in the championship game of the Cavemen Tournament at Cave City.



The Mountain Home High School wrestling team continues its two-day run in Centerton. The Bombers are competing in the Northwest Arkansas Duals at Bentonville West High School.
