Pink Floyd RecordsPink Floyd has announced plans for the second installment of its recently launched vinyl reissue campaign. September 23, 180-gram editions of three of the influential British band’s albums will hit stores — 1970’s Atom Heart Mother, 1971’s Meddle and 1972’s Obscured by Clouds.

Atom Heart Mother was Pink Floyd’s first album to reach #1 on the U.K. charts. While it only peaked at #55 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S., the record has gone on to sell more than one million copies in this country alone.

Meddle went to #3 on the British album chart, while only reaching #70 on the Billboard 200. It notably featured the epic track “Echoes,” which is more than 23 minutes long and takes up the entire second side of the LP. Meddle has sold more than two million copies to date in the states.

Obscured by Clouds features music that Pink Floyd composed for the French film La Vallée, by director Barbet Schroeder. It peaked at #6 in the U.K., and made it to #46 in the U.S. The album, which preceded Floyd’s massively successful The Dark Side of the Moon, has sold over 500,000 in the States.

Pink Floyd also will re-release vinyl versions of its classic 1979 concept album The Wall and 1993’s The Division Bell on August 26.

Pink Floyd’s vinyl reissue campaign began June 3 with the release of 1967’s The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, 1968’s A Saucerful of Secrets, and 1969’s More film soundtrack and Ummagumma two-LP collection. All of the reissues have been remastered from the original analog tapes.
