Shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child available at Home Instead

     Those wishing to participate in Operation Christmas Child can pick up empty shoeboxes at Home Instead Senior Care located at 420 South Main in Mountain Home and at Arvest locations in Mountain Home, Yellville and Harrison.

     A division of Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child is an annual project where shoeboxes are filled with small toys, clothing, hygiene items and school supplies for distribution to children in need in over 150 countries world wide. The North Central Arkansas Operation Christmas Child group hopes to collect 13,000 shoeboxes this year with a nationwide project goal of 12 million shoeboxes.

     Shoeboxes will be collected the week of November 14 through the 21 at Eastside Baptist Church in Mountain Home. Drop-off hours are Monday, the 14th from 1 to 4 in the afternoon; Tuesday the 15th through Saturday the 19th from 2 to 4 in the afternoon, Sunday the 20th from 3 to 5 p.m. and Monday the 21st from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
