Monica Morgan/WireImage Patti LaBelle is expanding her dessert line at Walmart after the sweet success of her signature sweet potato pies.
The Grammy-winning singer has created five new desserts that’ll be available exclusively at Walmart starting Tuesday. The delectable lineup includes Patti’s Good Life Peach Cobbler, Berry Cobbler, Apple Cobbler, Apple Pecan Cake and Sweet Potato Loaf.
According to People magazine, LaBelle tapped into her family’s recipes as well as her own concoctions in the kitchen to create the signature dishes. “I’ve been cooking for most of my life. As you’re standing in the kitchen and you think of certain ingredients, you just put them in — sometimes they work, and sometimes they don’t,” she said.
In 2015, Patti’s sweet potato pies went viral when YouTube star James Wright Chanel recorded a video of him raving over her confection. His review essentially helped sell out Patti’s signature pies in Walmart stores nationwide.
The new Patti LaBelle dessert assortment will be available online and in Walmart stores nationwide starting Tuesday, August 29.
