SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Allen Staton hit a run-scoring single in the eighth inning, leading the Springfield Cardinals to a 2-1 win over the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Friday. Robby Rowland got the win with two innings of scoreless relief while Reid Redman took the loss in the Texas League game.
