The latest news from Mountain Home Public Schools Athletic Director Janet Wood.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Ours was very special – got to spend quality family time with all three sets of children and grandchildren.
It was a great way to start the basketball season – both teams winning at home against Class 7A Rogers. The Lady Bombers controlled the time of possession and played some stifling defense while the Bombers jumped on the Mounties early and never gave up the lead. Both teams will compete in tournaments this week. The Lady Bombers will play in the Fayetteville Bulldog Classic which starts this Thursday – tip off against the host team will be at 6:45. The Bombers will travel to Forsythe, MO this evening for a 7:30 start. Both teams will play on Friday – game time depending on the outcome of their first round games.
The wrestling team hosted a youth wrestling tournament this past Saturday. We had over 150 wrestlers at the Hangar – from three states and 13 different teams. The Mountain Home Flyers placed second behind the Mighty Bluebirds from Little Rock. The wrestling team will travel to Searcy tomorrow.
Both swim teams and bowling teams will see action this week. Swim will travel to Fayetteville on Wednesday and bowling will travel to Fayetteville on Thursday.
The Bomber Booster Club will meet at 11:30 today at Western Sizzlin. Everyone is welcome to attend. It is very informal – in addition to listening to the coaches, we continue to plan for our upcoming 1st Arkansas Bail Bonds Holiday tournament.
