Stevie Wonder and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Among the 2017 New Orleans Jazz Fest Headliners

Courtesy of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage FestivalThe lineup for the 2017 edition of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has been unveiled and among this year’s headliners are Stevie Wonder and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The Big Easy’s annual music and cultural extravaganza takes place over two weekends this spring, from April 28 through May 7.

Among the many other acts on this year’s bill are veteran artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Patti LaBelle, Dr. John, George Benson, Aaron Neville, Buddy Guy, Tower of Power, Herb Alpert, The Dixie Cups, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Hugh Masekela and Irma Thomas.

The lineup also includes Maroon 5, Dave Matthews, Kings of Leon, Usher with The Roots, Harry Connick Jr., Snoop Dogg, Meghan Trainor, Lorde, Alabama Shakes, Pitbull and Darius Rucker. In addition, the festival will feature some special tribute sets, including performances honoring late jazz greats Louis Armstrong and Pete Fountain.

JazzFest 2017 takes place April 28-April 30 and May 4-May 7 at the New Orleans Fair Grounds. Early bird advance single-day tickets are available for purchase now through February 14 for $65, not including fees, via Ticketmaster. Regular advance single-day tickets go on sale February 14 and are priced at $70. Admission at the festival gate is $80.
