Credit: Eleanor StillsThe Rides — Stephen Stills‘ blues-rock side project with Kenny Wayne Shepherd and former Electric Flag keyboardist Barry Goldberg — wrapped up a tour in support of their 2016 album, Pierced Arrow, last June, but now the band has announced plans to hit the road again this spring.

The new trek will visit a variety of venues in the Southern U.S., kicking off March 29 in Nashville and running through an April 15 concert in Dallas. Among the other major cities The Rides’ 2017 tour will stop in are New Orleans; Pensacola and St. Petersburg, Florida: and Austin and Houston, Texas. You can buy tickets for the concerts via the band’s official website, TheRidesBand.com.

Pierced Arrow is The Rides’ second album, following their 2013 debut, Can’t Get Enough. The record features a mix of original blues-influenced rock songs and ballads, along with a couple of cover tunes. Among the covers is a rendition of “I’ve Got to Use My Imagination,” a song Goldberg co-wrote with renowned lyricist Gerry Goffin that was a top five hit for Gladys Knight and the Pips in 1974. The record also includes a version of Willie Dixon‘s classic blues tune “My Babe.”
