Vince Neil Receives Fine, Probation in Las Vegas Assault Case

Brian Rasic/WireImageFormer Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil has struck a deal to avoid jail time after he was charged with misdemeanor battery following an April incident in which he allegedly assaulted a woman at a Las Vegas casino, TMZ reports. According to the website, after the 55-year-old rocker’s attorneys entered a guilty plea for him in court Wednesday, Neil will have to cough up $1,000 and was sentenced to six months of informal probation.

The singer also is required to undergo impulse control counseling.

Meanwhile, Neil is still facing a lawsuit brought by the woman he allegedly assaulted, who is seeking at least $150,000 in damages. The incident occurred at the Aria Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, when Vince was hanging out with actor Nicolas Cage. TMZ reports that surveillance footage shows that Neil grabbed the woman by the hair and pulled her to the ground when she approached him and Cage, apparently seeking an autograph.
