A Viola man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Friday afternoon in Fulton County. According to the Arkansas State Police, 85-year-old Jearl Ford died as a result of the accident nearly five miles north of Viola.
Trooper Rodney Villiger reports Ford was traveling southbound on Arkansas Highway 223. His vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a culvert.
Ford’s body is being held at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains after the 2:45 p.m. accident.
