Warren bowls over Pea Ridge in 2nd half of Arkansas Class 4A final

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) Dennis Daniels ran for 189 yards and Hayden Lassiter threw for 208 yards on 10-of-12 passing Friday as Warren beat Pea Ridge 54-37 to win the Arkansas Class 4A high school football championship for a fourth time.



Bryson Person, Daniels and Lassiter each scored on short runs, and Treylon Burks scored on a 19-yard interception return, as the Lumberjacks scored 28 points in a row after Pea Ridge had closed within 26-25 midway through the third quarter.



The teams traded touchdowns for the first 2 1/2 quarters, including a Zaine Holley 8-yard run after Pea Ridge put together a 20-play, 85-yard drive in the first half. The drive took 9:29. Holley had two touchdown runs, as did Drew Winn for Pea Ridge.



Hayden Holtgrewe scored on a 75-yard kickoff return to tie the game at 19-19, starting on the right side of the field, angling to the left side near midfield and, after nearly stepping out of bounds, cutting back to the middle of the field.



Daniels scored four times, each on short runs.



Pea Ridge was seeking its first football title.
