Yellville girl injured in Marion Co. accident dies in Little Rock hospital


     Four year old Jeanie Kenney of Yellville has died following an accident eight days ago that left her in critical condition at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.   A report from the Arkansas State Police says Kenney died Tuesday afternoon.   Kenney was injured in a one vehicle accident in Marion County on February 4 that also injured the driver of the vehicle, her grandmother, 77 year old Juanita Arena of Gamaliel.   Arena was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center following the accident for treatment and released.   Kenney was transported to Arkansas Children's Hospital following the accident where she remained in critical condition in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
     The accident on U. S. Highway 62 seven miles west of Yellville occurred when Arena, driving a 2005 Dodge Magnum, lost control her vehicle on the wet road while negotiating a curve.   The vehicle slide off the road into a ditch and overturned in a creek.
