The Flippin School Board has voted to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision of the National School Lunch Program in the upcoming academic year, making breakfast and lunch free for students.The action came Tuesday evening during the board’s regular monthly meeting.
The Community Eligibility Provision is a non-pricing meal service option for schools and school districts in low-income areas. CEP allows the nation’s highest poverty schools and districts to serve breakfast and lunch at no cost to all enrolled students without collecting household applications.
In other action, Superintendent Kelvin Hudson says the board approved a number of personnel moves.
