You can help keep your neighbors warm this winter.
On Sunday October 14th, Needs of Many is holding its Third annual “Warm Someone’s Heart”.
On that day we ask churches, organizations and individuals to join us in keeping your neighbors warm by bringing blankets and sleeping bags to church. We need new or slightly used but clean blankets in queen, full, or twin sizes. The new sleeping bags should be rated 30o F or lower.
Since their first event in May 2016, “Take a Fan to Church”, Needs of Many has distributed 432 fans to the Ozark Center of Hope and the Christian Clothing Exchange and as well as several other organizations.
During our fall campaigns, “Warm Someone’s Heart” , Needs of Many has distributed 401 electric heaters, electric blankets, and blankets.
They are a group of men and women dedicated to serving those in need. Their purpose is to join forces with churches, organizations and individuals to better serve the needs of the community with a sharing of work and resources.
They welcome any organization, individual or church with an open heart who is willing to serve the community.
Bring your blankets/sleeping bags to church Sunday October 14th, then have your church phone Chris Steiger 870-508-0185 or Bette Gould 870-492-6710. We will arrange meeting you at our storage area.
Organizations are welcome to join them. They meet on the second Tuesday of each month at Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1209 E. 9th St, Mountain Home in the Fellowship Hall.
