I read this yesterday on the news this morning 'Worldwide bacon shortage ‘unavoidable’
I have the cure for you. Raise your own bacon. I have 2 mulefoot gilts (female piglets)that are about 3 months old for sale. I'd like $100 a piece, and would sell both for $175. Mulefooted hogs are pastured raised. When I bought the dad, he was about 7 months old, and weighed about 200 pounds. The mom was also 7 months old and probably 185. Dad's gained about 50 pounds, and Mom (even after having a litter and raising till weaned) has gained 20 - 25 pounds. They are kept in my orchard (about an acre) and do get a little grain every couple days (just to have them come up to me when I call)
If you don't have the money, maybe we can agree on a swap for something. I'm sorry but the picture is about a month old. I can send newer pictures if your interested
