ABC/Image Group LA “Ok taking off for a little mind-clearing vacation with the hubs,” Kelsea Ballerini tweeted Monday night. But before she and Morgan Evans headed out, Kelsea took the time to “spill some tea” about new music in a question-and-answer session with her fans.

The Knoxville, Tennessee native revealed her next single should arrive “fall-ish,” in keeping with what she’d told reporters last month at CMA Fest. While she didn’t unveil the title of the song, she teased she’ll be shooting the music video when she returns from her trip.

Kelsea went on to fulfill a fan’s request to share a line from the song: “Do people assume you’re always alright? Been so good at smiling most of your life,” she offered.

The “Miss Me More” hitmaker estimates she’s written “over a hundred songs” for the follow-up to Unapologetically, joking that they’re “not all good.”

She still has “one more writing retreat… later this month” before she’s done composing the record, which she describes as “just really self-aware” so far.

If there was any bad news for fans, it’s that they’ll have to wait until next year for the full album. Kelsea’s sophomore record was released in November of 2017.
