The Junior Auxiliary of Mountain Home Nancy Luelf Scholarship winner has been announced. Seth Horn, a graduating senior from Mountain Home High School, was awarded the $1,000 memorial scholarship and plans to pursue a degree in physical therapy at Williams Baptist College. Horn has served the children of Baxter County by volunteering at basketball and baseball camps, as well as providing childcare at the CALL, a foster care program for the state of Arkansas.

Nancy Luelf, a lifetime Junior Auxiliary member and community leader, lost her battle with cancer and the Mountain Home Junior Auxiliary chose to honor her with the creation of a memorial scholarship for students who exemplify her advocacy and service to the youth’s community. The Nancy Luelf scholarship is awarded to any graduating senior in Baxter County who plans to pursue a degree in a field of study addressing the needs of children and youth.

Junior Auxiliary of Mountain Home was founded in 1996 and has since awarded more than $19,000 in scholarship funds to area graduating seniors.
