Izard County sheriff investigates shooting death of Violet Hill man

The Izard County Sheriff is investigating the fatal shooting of a Violet Hill man at an Oxford residence..   Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence identified the deceased as 50 year old Ted Foreman who was shot by 41 year old Mike Rush at Rush's residence on Wideman Road, a mile and a half from State Highway 9.
Sheriff Lawrence says his office received a call from Rush at 9:33 Monday night saying he had shot a man and believed he was dead.   When officers arrived on the scene they found Foreman's body in the living room of the mobile home with multiple gun shot wounds from a .357 Magnun, including one in the head.   Mike Rush was taken into custody and later released.   Sheriff Lawrence says witnesses to the shooting have been interviewed and, although the investigation is ongoing, he believes it will be determined as justifiable homicide.
