Funeral services for 89 year old Emery Dean Curlee of Louisville, Kentucky will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Roller Funeral Home, with burial in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Visitation for Emery Dean Curlee will be at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Emery Dean Curlee was a native of Mountain Home. He was a 1947 graduate of the University of Arkansas and he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1950 and practiced law in Mountain Home until 1956. He then joined Rock Island Railroad in Chicago as general counsel. In 1988, he was appointed administrative law judge with the Department of Social Security Disability and was assigned to the Alexandria, Louisiana office. He later transferred to Louisville and then retired in 2011. He was a member of the American Bar Association and was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived locally by a nephew, Terry Poynter of Mountain Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the American Heart Association.
