Two arrested on felony drug charges in Izard County


     For the second time in two weeks, the Izard County Sheriff has made a felony drug arrest in the Izard County Court parking lot of an individual scheduled for a court appearance.   Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence says 37 year old Stacy Alberson of Horseshoe Bend was arrested on felony drug charges when a drug dog alerted authorities of possible drugs in her vehicle.   During a search of her Chevrolet Lumina, a plastic baggie containing a crystalline substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine, was found inside a cigarette package.   Stacy Alberson was released from the Izard County jail after posting $2,500 bond.
     A Batesville man was arrested on felony drug charges in Izard County following a traffic stop by the Arkansas State Police.   Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence says 27 year old Justin Scott Gude was charged with possession of methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia for the purpose of ingesting meth; possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia for the purpose of ingesting pot.   Gude was released from the Izard County jail after posting $15,000 bond.   The state police were assisted in the arrest of Justin Scott Gude by the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force.
