Friday's basketball results



Cotter's basketball teams had a preseason outing on Friday as they came away with one win in four benefit games at Valley Springs.
The mercy rule was invoked in the senior boys' contest. The Warriors were routed by the Tigers 82-40.
Cotter did not fare any better in the senior girls' game. The Lady Warriors were pounded by Valley Springs 80-23.
Cotter's lone victory was in the junior boys' game as they defeated Valley Springs 41-26. Maddux Adams led the Junior Warriors with 13 points.
The evening began with the junior girls' contest. Cotter fell to Valley Springs 46-17.
Cotter's senior high teams will play Valley Springs again next Friday at the Twin Rivers Classic in Norfork. The Cotter junior teams will host Norfork for their season opener on Monday.

Norfork's senior girls had a rough outing at home as they hosted Flippin for benefit action. The Lady Panthers lost to the Lady Bobcats 54-30. Flippin was led by Meagan Loucks with 12 points. The Lady Bobcats will begin their season Tuesday at home against Western Grove.
