Free dog

FREE to a good and loving home….10 month old (weighs about 38lbs) neutered Australian Shepherd/Springer Spaniel mix (may possibly have some border collie) named Charlie. We got Charlie in February with hopes that he would be our dog for several years to come. Unfortunately we are finding that he is not a good fit for our family at this time. Charlie grew faster and bigger than we had anticipated and he is not doing well with our small children. He is such a happy dog and gets too excited when he sees them, knocking them down or scratching them in the process. Our children are becoming scared of him and he doesn’t get to be in the house much which is making his behaviors worse. He has been to 3 or 4 training session at All Pet and did really well. The trainer said she would consider him gifted and very receptive to training, she thinks he would do well in obstacle course type training. He is a very loving dog but very much still a puppy and still needs lots of training. He needs a home without small children, where he can get the training and attention he deserves. He is kennel trained and up to date on all shots.
