Melbourne continues playoff action at Smackover

It's week two of the postseason for high school football in Arkansas, and one local team will return to the gridiron looking to continue its fortunes. Melbourne will be on the road as they meet Smackover in the second round of the Class 3A State Playoffs.
The Bearkatz come into the game with a record of 9-2 on the season. Melbourne played its first ever playoff game a week ago and eeked out a one-point overtime victory over Centerpoint.
Smackover currently has a record of 10-1. The Buckaroos had spent six weeks ranked in the Class 3A Top Five by the Associated Press before losing to McGehee in week eight of the regular season. Melbourne head coach Kevin McCarn says one aspect of Smackover's game that his Bearkatz will need to contain is their quickness.
