Cave City sweeps Arvest Bank Tournament

The Arvest Bank Tournament came to an end Saturday in Flippin, and both first place trophies went to Cave City.
In the boys' title game, the host Bobcats fell to the Cavemen 53-39. Josh Rogers led Flippin with 17 points. The Bobcats fall to 7-1 on the season.
Cave City also took the girls' championship. The Cavewomen defeated Kingston 43-35.
Flippin's girls were looking to finish third in the tournament, but it wasn't to be as they lost to Western Grove 42-38. The Lady Bobcats were led by Kaylee Wood with 14 points. Flippin drops to 8-2 on the year.
Third place on the boys' bracket went to Calico Rock. The Pirates squeaked by Western Grove 47-46.
In the consolation championship games, Yellville-Summit's boys beat up on Jasper 50-23, and the Viola girls topped Izard County 49-35.
