Prosecutors to re-try man after mistrial in murder of Caulfield woman

Prosecutors say they will retry 47 year old Dennis Woodward for the January 2012 murder of a Caulfield woman after a jury in Rolla deadlocked and a mistrial was declared recently. Woodward and his girlfriend, 43-year old Elizabeth Gunter, were arrested and charged with the stabbing death of 63-year old Joy Dishneau. The two were also charged with armed criminal action, first-degree robbery and tampering with a motor vehicle.
Woodward and Gunter were arrested about a week after Dishneau was found dead in her combination home and business, known as "Naturally Enchanted", in Caulfield. Gunter has not been tried, yet. Gunter, who served as a prosecution witness, told jurors she and Woodward had gone to Dishneau's home to rob her.
Woodward's trial was moved to Rolla on a change of Venue. The jury in the case deadlocked after six hours of deliberations.
