Former MH resident and NASA scientist to speak at 1st Christian Church

As part of the 150th Anniversary Celebration of First Christian Church in Mountain Home, the congregation and Senior Pastor Lewis Godby will welcome home former Mountain Home resident and church member, Dr. Jennifer Wiseman, who will speak at a special event Saturday evening at 7 at the church.   Wiseman, a 1983 graduate of Mountain Home High School, is a Senior Astrophysicist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.   In addition to being the Senior Project Scientist for the Hubble Space Telescope, she is the Director for the American Association for the Advancement of Science's Dialogue on Science, Ethics and Religion.
The public is invited to hear Wiseman's visual presentation entitled "Amazing Universe, Amazing Grace, Amazing God!"   The presentation is for everyone, not just those interested in science or astronomy, according to Wiseman who says attendees will be able to experience what astronomers are able to see in space through telescopes.
