A permit for construction of a $950,000 commercial building for a restaurant helped building permits sold in Mountain Home in May top the $1.3 million mark. The building permit for the franchise eatery, Buffalo Wild Wings, was purchased for $2,395 on May 30. The building will be constructed at 1195 Hometown Commons.
The only other permit issued by the Mountain Home Building and Inspection Department in May was for construction of a two-bedroom, two bathroom duplex. The $150,000 project will be located at 509 East 7th Street. The owner is Steve Martinez.
More than $200,000 of the proposed $1.3 million projects that were permitted in May was for four residential additions. The largest addition is for 828 square feet of heated space and a 442 foot garage addition at a residence on Pinetree Lane. A permit was also sold for a construction of a $35,000 detached, storage or shop building at the corner of Highway 201 North and North Street.
Permits were also sold for construction or changes to eight signs and for construction of two drive-ways. Construction costs for those projects is $14,598.
For the month, the city sold 16 building permits. City revenue for the building permits plus mechanical, plumbing and driveway permits totaled just over $3,500.
