Pinkston teams compete in Odyssey of the Mind World Finals

     Two teams from Pinkson Middle School in Mountain Home recently competed at the 2014 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals at Iowa State University.   The 6th and 7th grade students competed against teams from across the United States and around the world including China, Togo, India, Poland, Hong Kong, Germany and Mexico.
     The 6th Grade team, coached by Tara Harper, Sondee Connelley and Annette Walden, competed in Driver's Test, Division 2 and placed 18th out of 54 teams.
     The 7th grade team coached by Becca Camp and Tara Harper, competed in Seeing is Believing, Division 2 and placed 21st out of 58 teams.
     Camp, who is Odyssey of the Mind director for Mountain Home shools, expressed pride in the teams and their accomplishments, saying they represented Mountain Home and Arkansas well.   She said watching the teams perform so well has been a highlight of her teaching career. Camp said seeing all the hours of hard work pay off in such a huge way for them is an amazing accomplishment.
