School bells ring this morning across Baxter and Marion counties with students beginning their academic year in Cotter, Flippin, Norfork and Yellville-Summit. Buses will run regular routes in all four districts. Motorists are encouraged to be patient as increased traffic may be an issue for the first several days of school.
The school day begins in Cotter at 7:45 for youth in high school and at 7:50 for elementary school students. Breakfast prices for all students is one dollar. Lunch prices for students in kindergarten through the sixth grade is $1.75, and $2.00 for students in grades seven through 12.
Flippin schools begin at 7:50. Breakfast prices for all students is one dollar. Lunch prices for elementary students is two dollars, and $2.25 for students in the sixth through 12th grades.
Norfork schools convene this morning as high school students begin classes at 7:53 a.m. Elementary school students begin classes at 7:50 a.m. Breakfast is 40 cents regular, 30 cents reduced cost. Lunch is $1.25 regular, 40 cents reduced cost.
Yellville-Summit students return this morning and may be dropped off as early as 7:45 a.m. Breakfast is one dollar for all students or 30 cents reduced price. Lunch is $1.90 for all students, with a 40 cents reduced price.
All of these school systems will celebrate the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 1st.
