Yellville-Summit FBLA attends Leadership conference

Yellville-Summit Future Business Leaders of America did an outstanding job at the FBLA Spring Leadership Conference at North Arkansas College on Monday, January 18, 2010. Ten members from the Yellville-Summit Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America attended the conference and spent the day entering competitions, running the talent show, and attending the awards ceremony. The YS students in charge of the district talent show were Samantha Johnson, Autumn Edkins, and Gentry Rotenberry. Our chapter was recognized for being second in Largest Chapter Membership for District VI. Members competing and advancing to state competition include: Laura Bean, 2nd place in Business Communications; Sidney Jones, 2nd Place, FBLA Principles and Procedures; Karlie Davenport, 4th place in Accounting I; Cody Stoops, 5th place in Business Calculations; Levi Ross, 5th place in Business Math; McKenzi Lane, 6th place, Introduction to Business Communications; and Ben Kerwood, 7th place, Sports Management. These students and their adviser, Mrs. Marsha Dillard, will attend the State Leadership Conference in Little Rock on March 29-30.
