Enrique Vamerena was a Drug Enforcement Administration Officer who went under cover in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1985, was captured, tortured and murdered by Mexican Drug Lords!!! In remembering his valiant efforts to do his part in controlling the flow of drugs into this country and into the lives of our youth, the Benevolent and Protective order of Elks of America has preserved his efforts through the continued war on drugs.
