U.S. Amateur qualifiers

Alex Carpenter of Little Rock (left) and Austin Cook of Jonesboro shared the championship of the U.S. Amateur qualifying tournament Monday at Big Creek Golf & Country Club. Both golfers shot 134 for two rounds. Carpenter set a new course record with a 62 in his first round. Both golfers qualified for the U.S. Amateur Championship this month in Washington.
