Hemera/Thinkstock(LIGONIER, Pa.) — A child has been reported to have fallen off a roller coaster at the Idlewild and SoakZone amusement park in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, about 50 miles east of Pittsburgh, according to a Westmoreland County emergency dispatcher.
The dispatcher said the child was “awake and alert.” The child has been airlifted to a children’s hospital.
It was not immediately clear which ride the accident was on.
The apparent accident comes four days after a 10-year-old boy died on a water slide in Kansas and three days after three children fell from a ferris wheel in Tennessee.
