Ketchum gets four years probation on drug related charges

     Edward Ketchem of Mountain Home was given four years probation after pleading guilty to drug-related charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

     The 46-year-old Ketchem was arrested May 7th when Mountain Home Police went to an address on Lark Lane to investigate reports of a suspicious person ringing doorbells at 5 a.m.

     Officers encountered Ketchem standing on the porch of a residence. He was described as sweating profusely, unable to stand still and was speaking very rapidly.

     According to court records, when he was patted down for weapons, Ketchem allegedly told officers that he had methamphetamine in his possession. In addition, a wooden smoking pipe, a metal smoking pipe, rolling papers and a used syringe were found in his possession.

     Ketchem had been free on $2,500 bond.
