An Ozark County woman suffered moderate injuries from a two-car accident Wednesday in Wright County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 76-year-old Ruth Lewis-Long of Gainesville was transported by ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield after the collision in Grovespring.
Lewis-Long was northbound on Highway 5 at the intersection of Route M. The Highway Patrol reports a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Frances Stewart of Hartville, failed to yield to Lewis-Long and pulled off Route M into the intersection causing the collision.
No condition report was available on Lewis-Long from Cox Medical Center South. Stewart and her passenger, 46-year-old Lea Bembry of Hartville, also suffered moderate injuries, and they were transported by personal vehicle to Mercy Hospital Lebanon.
Both vehicles were totaled in the 2:35 p.m. accident.
