The 14th Judicial Circuit Prosecuting Attorney has a new office in Harrison. The Harrison Daily Times reports it’s located in the Boone County Election Center, and it has several features.

The office is behind a security door with electronic locks. The facility located on West Central Avenue has video surveillance of nearly every view of the offices.

Most of the furniture is used from old federal court facilities. The office chairs were taken from Boone County facilities, stripped down and refinished by over 300 jail inmates.

According to the Harrison Daily Times, Prosecuting Attorney David Ethredge says the new offices are less cramped than the old facility on East Rush Avenue. Deputy prosecutors and case coordinators will each have individual offices, and Ethredge’s wife decorated an office equipped with children’s toys, a magnetic chalkboard and anatomically correct dolls used in child sexual assault investigations.

The 14th Judicial District covers Baxter, Marion, Boone and Newton Counties.
