$47,000 in fishing equipment stolen from rural Stone County shop

     Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds is asking for the public's assistance in a theft case in which $47,000 in fishing equipment was stolen.
     According to Sheriff Bonds, on or around August 15, an unknown person or persons entered a shop building in the 6000 Block of Roasting Ear Road and stole over 70 items.
     Items stolen include, a Minkota trolling motor, seven Shimano spinning reels, two scuba tanks, scuba fins, five Lews fishing rods, two Hummingbird Helix fish finder displays, three Shimano bait casting reels, a scuba BCD, two spear guns, a wet suit, six Denali fishing rods, 40 tackle boxes and a large assortment of fishing lures.
     A reward has been offered by the property owner for information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
