FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) _ The last time Arkansas running back Rawleigh Williams
played a game, he was carted off the field on a stretcher after injuring his
neck against Auburn.
The Razorbacks sophomore has fully recovered from his frightening injury and
will make his return to action against Louisiana Tech on Saturday
Williams was in the middle of breakout freshman season a year ago, averaging
4.5 yards per carry and having rushed for 100 yards in a win at Tennessee.
However, the 5-foot-10, 223-pound running back had his neck broken when his
facemask was grabbed by Auburn defender Kris Frost _ leading to emergency
surgery that night and months of rehabilitation.
Williams returned to practice in the spring and is expected to be one of the
Razorbacks top rushing options this season.
