CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) _ Dale Earnhardt Jr. will miss the rest of the NASCAR
season due to lingering concussion-like symptoms. Earnhardt has been under
medical care since the symptoms began in July.
Earnhardt will have missed 18 races total but says he plans to be behind the wheel for the season-opening Daytona 500 next February.
Jeff Gordon and Alex Bowman will continue to share seat time in the No. 88 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports.
