Football, volleyball, golf and softball make up the local Monday schedule.



The Mountain Home High School volleyball team steps out of district play as they will be on the road at Harrison. The freshmen match begins at 4:30 followed by the junior varsity and varsity matches.

Elsewhere, Cotter hosts Bergman, Flippin travels to Brockwell to face Izard County, Yellville-Summit makes the trip to Alpena, Marshall entertains Green Forest, and Valley Springs is home against Clinton.

Two of Mountain Home’s junior high teams will be across the state line to meet West Plains. The seventh grade match starts at 5:30 followed by the eighth grade match.



The postseason gets underway for Salem’s high school golf teams. The Greyhounds will be the host of the 2A-2 Conference Tournament to be held at the Golf Course on Turkey Mountain in Horseshoe Bend.



The Mountain Home junior varsity football team returns to Bomber Stadium as they go up against West Plains. Kickoff is scheduled for six p.m.

In other j.v. football, Harrison hosts Hackett.

Mountain Home will also have three junior high games against West Plains, but they will be played in Howell County. The seventh grade game kicks off at 4:00 followed by the eighth grade and freshmen contests.



In high school softball, Bakersfield entertains Hartville, and Gainesville heads to Dora.
